Thursday - Colorado Springs, CO

Well I closed my blog a little early Wednesday evening as didn't include that Pat was outside talking and then he met our next door neighbors. He invited them into the RV for a chat. They are a young couple from Nebraska, Chad & Jenny with 2 kids 12 & 8. Pat and Chad had Nascar in common. We really enjoyed our visit.

I worked most of the morning and then found that neither Pat nor my phone could pick up a signal. We talked to the RV office and they advised that Verizon may work in certain spots around the park but AT&T does not work but will down the road. We traveled a couple of miles down the road from the park and then I got service. My office has made some adjustments so hopefully all will work out while we are here.

This afternoon we road the BMW to Canon City, stopped at the Holy Cross Winery for a little tasting and to browse thier store,they had a variety of very nice wine related items. Then we went to the Royal Gourge but as was so late in the afternoon decided we would make the trek back another day to take in all the Royal Gorge activities.

Got back to the RV about 5:00 and our neighbors were just returning from thier outing. We got together for happy hour, then it was time to have something to eat. Later we all sat by the fire that Chad had built at thier campsite and talked until time to turn in. Till tomorrow........
