Sunday, Colo Sprgs, CO

Today we traveled the mountain roads by car so Blaze got to go along. We took the Phantom Canyon and Ridge Roads to and from Cripple Creek, CO.

The Phantom Canyon road was a great road to Cripple Creek. Once we got to Cripple Creek we found very old buildings dating from 1899. The church photo shows a chuch built in 1902. We split a great footlong sandwich at the Jackass Cafe. We ate sitting on the tailgate in the back of the Vue. The weather was cool, about 62 degrees. Cripple Creek is located at about 9500 altitude.

Now for our return on the Ridge road.

The Ridge road was a scary road as it was very narrow and we met cars coming from the opposite direction. Let's just say I was glad to see the end of the Ridge road. Whew!! I lived to tell about it. The Skyline Road is still the scariest.

Today we went about 100 miles and it took us 5 hours. You don't go fast on these roads.

Got back and moved to another spot at the RV park. This will be our last move until we leave on Thursday. This is probably the best spot yet. Hope you enjoyed the pics. Tomorrow's a work day.......
