Friday-Sturgis, SD

Woke up this morning and it was cold and overcast. It warmed up so we left about 10:00 heading to Sundance, Wyoming and to see Devil's Tower. Pat said he had checked out the weather and the storms in the area seemed to be moving away from where we were heading. When we approached Sundance the sky was dark and we saw lightning (I didn't like this one bit) and then a rain cloud opened up to our left which was coming our way; there was sunshine ahead so we went for it.

We made it to Devil's Tower with only a few raindrops.

The picture above if of 5 guys climbing the Tower.

This area of Wyoming is lush and green with lots of trees and water. It's beautiful and you can look forever and not see any houses.

It's the 4th of July weekend and we passed many RV's and trailers on the way home. I'm sure Pat is planning another ride for tomorrow so stay tuned for more pics...........
