Earlier this little girl had her Barbie fishing pool, doing a little fishing. In the pic above she is collecting her bait (minnows) out of the little creek that runs through the park.
Just a few people; look a vacant site.
This site is across the street from us. These people came up from Sacramento for the Crush and there were about 4 couples and thier RV's in thier party. On Friday the ladies went shopping and the Guys went golfing. Saturday, it was the Crush for them.
We opted to ride the bike to Fairplay which is in El Dorado County and visit winery's there. We passed many of the Amador wineries, full of cars, limos, and buses. We visited the Iverson winery. This winery had some really cool pottery that I liked. I didn't purchase the pottery but did buy a bottle of Sangiovese.
We then rode to the Fleur de Lis winery. This winery does everything in the French way of making wines and all wine is put in french barrels. This winery had food pairings with some of thier wines, how cool was that. I must say these wines did taste different, I purchased a bottle of chardonnay as it was so different than most of the chardonnay's I'm used to.
Came back to the RV and sat outside to watch the dog parade.... We were a little disappointed as we didn't have many of the dogs come by, I guess thier parents were wined up. HaHa
Not sure how this pic got in there, looks like some guys sitting at the back of the RV's taking in the highway or just wanted to get away from thier ladies.
Sunday, we rode back to Fairplacy to visit a couple more wineries. We came to Skinner Winery, they have the most beautiful view and winery/tasting both inside and out..... The pics don't do it justice. Pat was somewhat taken aback when I bought a $27.00 bottle of wine at Skinner's. I'll have to save this for a special occasion.
On the way to the next winery we passed this sign....
The next winery we went to was Winery by the Creek, they served Charles B Mitchell wines. The wines here were very resonably priced. They had one wine that was bottled in a jug (like you would see back in the still making days). The jug cost $15.00 and then you bring it back for a refills out of the barrel for $10.00. I tasted it, it was just okay.
Here I am, tasting. (again)
Back to the RV park to get ready for what the coming week will bring. No plans as yet for anything exciting, although they have forecast rain for Wednesday with cooler weather. We haven't seen much rain during our excursion, this could be exciting.
