Thursday

Woke up to another windy, cloudy, morning.  After lunch the wind subsided so we decided to take a ride on the Willow City Loop.  Nice scenery but no bluebonnets, then the sun popped out and it got hot.  As long as we were moving it was okay. We decided to go to Llano to see our friend, Larry Otto. Took the Otto Loop to Larry's house they are the progress of building. Larry gave us a tour, very nice.They hope to be in the new house by May or June.  On our return took the 404 and crossed over the Llano (see pic) then took the Enchanted Park road back to Fredericksburg.  Had happy hour sitting outside the RV while Pat grilled pork chops. As you can see in the pics Blaze and I are adapting just fine.  Arrivederci

Wednesday

Pat woke me up with a cup of flavored coffee at 6:00 as we had to be in the big City of Austin by 10:00 for our Dentist appointments.  I thought I would have a hard tme breaking the habit of getting up at 5:30 but I don't seem to have a problem sleeping past that time. I guess it was good thing I had 2 alarms to get up by when I was working full time.  We left for Austin around 7:45 and hit the traffic before reaching Oak Hill. OMG it was awful.  Now I remember why I used to travel to work over an hour before I had to be there. Got through with the Dentist about 12:00.  We ate lunch at the Nutty Brown Cafe.  I wanted to sit outside but Pat was smart enough to know that we should sit inside as the wind was back to its blowing terror. Lunch wasn't all that great as Pat's was cold when we FINALLY got our food.  Used my MiFi and IPad in the car to do a little work after lunch and before reaching Fredericksburg. It worked out great. Got back worked from 2:00 to 4:30.  Happy hour at Cindy & Larry's, then back to the RV to watch Survivor. The days seem to go by really fast.  Later....

Tuesday

Got up, ate breakfast and was watching TV when Pat got an invite to play golf.  I love my alone time. I did some work, emptied the dishwasher, took Blaze for a walk and I found a new favorite TV station - Animal Planet.  Pat got back from playing golf around 3:30-4:00. Not much to report today. TaTa till tomorrow.

Monday

What can I say about Monday other than it was OMG WINDY.  Got up just like a regular work day, showered, washed and styled the hair, put on make-up and dressed in shorts.(so cool)  Took Blaze for a walk around the RV park. Got back to the RV closed the door and BAM the norther blew in.  Got back to the RV in the nick of time.  Pat & I went to HEB and Walmart wearing shorts (brrrr).Got back to the RV and I didn't go outside again. I worked and Pat played a game on the computer for 2 hours straight.  If you know Pat that's a long time for Pat to sit still in one place unless he's watching NASCAR.

Watched TV, no Food Network or HGTV, can you believe it???  The wind just blew & blew & blew.  Hopefully tomorrow I have more to blog about.  Adios.

Sunday

Well, yesterday was a day of rest (from what I'm not sure)  We had planned to bike the Willow City Loop but the wind was vicious all day and it was over cast until 1:00 pm. So.........in the morning played games on the computer, e-mailed and texted with friends, took Blaze on several walks around the RV park, made tuna salad for lunch and I watched HGTV and Food Network while Pat watched a NASCAR race.  Happy hour was at Larry and Cindy's. Tomorrow is a work day for me (must put in 3 hours).  I feel so fortunate to have an employer that is allowing me the chance to travel with my husband and still be employed.  Ciao for now.

Saturday

We (Pat, Laura & Blaze) biked over to the Comfort chili cook off where it was overcast & cool, just left Fredericksburg 20 miles away where it was warm and sunny.  Crazy Texas weather.  After visiting, checking out the vendors and having a sandwich from High's (spicy turkey Yum!) biked over to Luchenbach on a back road.  If you have ever watched the show "Pickers" there was a pick or two for Frank and Mike along that road. Enjoyed a beer (Pat) and a chardonnay (Laura) at Luckenbach, a little people watching then back to Fredericksburg along another back road - no picks on this road.  Back to the RV where we lounged in the sun. (got a little red)  Vodka tonic for happy hour.  Dinner was spaghetti, salad and garlic bread by candle light.  All in all a great day.  Till tomorrow........

Fredericksburg

Well arrived in Fredericksburg yesterday and were parked by 3 of our Chili friends.  Had Happy Hour at Lynn's enjoying the afternoon breeze then went to Larry and  Cindy's for a chat.  Bucky and Carolyn dropped by on the way to visit her Mom's. Going to Comfort today by bike (BMW) to the Chili Cookoff.  Not going to cook just visit with everyone.  There is a winery in Comfort so must visit that.  So far so good in our journey (day 1)   Later......
